What is Emotional Freedom Techniques?

Emotional Freedom Techniques (aka EFT or Tapping) is a modality that allows you to gain emotional freedom from whatever is weighing you down. In terms of money mindset, EFT can support you in shifting out of feelings like stress, fear, overwhelm, and can also be used to transform your limiting beliefs.

EFT draws from acupuncture, exposure therapy, and cognitive reframing. It involves light tapping with your fingers on acupuncture points on your body while verbalizing the challenges you’re experiencing around money/business.

How will this help me as an entrepreneur?

Your money mindset influences your behavior, how you show up in your business and make decisions, and it dictates how much money you feel safe/deserving to receive.

If you have a poor money mindset and believe things like:

  • I have to work really hard to receive money
  • I’m scared and uncomfortable sharing my prices with potential clients
  • No one is going to want to buy from me

You are blocking the universe from bringing you more money and happiness.

If you have a positive money mindset and believe things like:

  • I am fully capable and deserving of making the money I desire with ease
  • I am confident in the value that I offer to my clients
  • There are an abundance of people who have money to spend

You will open up the doors to receive money in abundance ๐Ÿ’ธ๐Ÿ’ธ๐Ÿ’ธ

How am I supposed to use this?

Itโ€™s really simple! Weโ€™re pretty much just playing follow the leader. To get started, hit play on the video. Youโ€™ll tap on the same points I am on your own body and you will repeat after me. Thatโ€™s it!

What to expect while tapping:

Notice how you feel at the beginning of the video and how you feel after. People often report feeling a sense of peace, calm, and groundedness after tapping. It’s likely you’ll walk away with a new perspective on the situation as well.

You might notice that as you are tapping and saying the phrases out loud that your mind will chime in with its own thoughts. Listen to these thoughts - follow them, see where they lead you. This is often how people have breakthroughs around whatever situation they are tapping on.

Tapping Points

For all of you visual people out there (just like me!), you can see each of the 9 main tapping points below.

A couple strange things that can happen while tapping that are actually totally normal!

As you’re tapping you might start to yawn or burp (weird right…?) this is a good sign! It means that energy is moving, blocks are dissipating, and your body is starting to relax. Don’t resist, just let it happen.

As you begin tapping, you might notice that your level of distress actually increases - this is okay! It means that you are becoming more present to the situation, you are tuning into it. We want you to be tuned in to your discomfort because we are going to layer the tapping on top of it to cancel out your stress response.

If you find your level of distress going up, the important thing to do is to keep tapping and breathing. You can replay the video multiple times if needed.

If you can’t seem to make much progress in bringing your level of distress down, I’d recommend booking some sessions with a Tapping Practitioner like myself. We have additional tools that we can use in a 1:1 capacity to support you in releasing the energy that’s stuck.
