You’ve done the inner work… so why do you still people please?
You’ve been to therapy.
You’ve read the books.
You’ve become more self-aware.
You understand why you people please.
And yet…
You still find yourself saying yes when you want to say no.
Avoiding difficult conversations.
Putting other people’s needs before your own.
Staying quiet instead of saying what you really think.
If you’ve ever wondered…
“Why do I keep doing this when I know better?”
You’re not alone 🤎
Why is people pleasing so hard to change?
If you’ve been on an inner healing journey for a while, you’ve probably already had the insight.
Maybe you’ve realized your people pleasing developed because you learned it was safer to keep others happy than risk conflict, disappointment, rejection, or judgment.
That awareness is so valuable.
But understanding why you people please doesn’t automatically change what happens in the moment.
You can know you deserve boundaries.
You can know your needs matter.
You can know it’s okay to say no.
…and still find yourself saying yes.
Why?
Because people pleasing isn’t driven by logic.
It’s driven by emotion.
When guilt, fear, or shame arise, your nervous system automatically reaches for the response that’s felt safest for years: keeping someone else happy.
That’s why this workshop isn’t about learning better boundary scripts.
It’s about learning how to work with the emotions that make boundaries, honest communication, and authentic self-expression feel so difficult in the first place.
Here’s exactly what we’ll do together
You'll choose one real-life situation where you tend to people please -- whether it’s saying yes when you want to say no, avoiding a difficult conversation, putting someone else’s needs before your own, or holding back what you really think.
Together, we’ll move through a simple four-step process designed to help you begin responding differently the next time you’re in that situation.
Step 1: Self Awareness
We’ll identify the primary emotion driving your people-pleasing behavior so you know exactly what’s been getting in the way of responding the way you want to.
Step 2: Emotional Processing
Using EFT Tapping, we’ll begin processing the guilt, fear, shame, or other emotions that are keeping the pattern in place. As your nervous system begins to feel safer, it becomes easier to respond in new ways.
Step 3: Thought Challenges
We’ll gently challenge the thoughts keeping you stuck in people pleasing and replace them with beliefs that make your new behavior feel safe and possible.
Step 4: Practice
Together, we’ll prepare for the next time this situation happens. You’ll identify exactly how you’d like to handle it and leave feeling more prepared to put it into practice.
How can EFT Tapping help?
A lot of healing work helps us understand why we are the way we are. And that awareness is important.
But understanding a pattern and feeling free from a pattern are two different things.
You might logically know:
“I don’t have to keep everyone happy.”
“It’s okay to say no.”
“My needs matter too.”
But if guilt, fear, or shame still feel overwhelming in the moment, those truths can be difficult to put into practice.
EFT Tapping helps you calm your nervous system by sending a gentle safety signal to your brain by tapping on acupressure points throughout the body.
As your emotions begin to release, old experiences, beliefs, and protective patterns start to lose their grip on you.
The goal isn’t to convince yourself that it's okay to have boundaries and be yourself.
The goal is to help your mind and body feel safe enough to actually follow through.
That’s why this workshop combines emotional processing with practical tools -- so you don’t just leave with more insight, you leave feeling more capable of showing up the way you truly want to.
Healing my own people pleasing is what has allowed me to:

♥ Publicly express affection for my partners without caring if it makes people feel uncomfortable
♥ Be more upfront when my feelings have been hurt
♥ Release long term friendships that I had outgrown
♥ Select new friendships that leave me feeling deeply fulfilled
♥ Stop agreeing with people simply out of habit & pause to consider my own opinion
